Interstellar travel has caught public attention. Our science and imagination have formed an idea of Interstellar space travel. The quest for actual space travel is on the way. Till now two spacecrafts Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 have crossed our solar system. No doubt more such spacecraft will be sent in future.
In interstellar travel, persons aboard the spacecraft will see the view of the stars. Positions and movement of the stars may help the astronauts for navigating the spacecraft but with difficulty. There is possibility that spacecraft may get lost.
Space institutes of germany has got a navigation system that will support the spacecraft directly from space, not from earth. The institute says its star charts and angular distance between the stars, with which the spacecraft can find its co-ordinate in space.
Astronauts aboard the spacecraft will be able to track its postion in space without refering to earth.
Interstellar travel will get a boost.
