Orion spacecraft has been selected for Artemis space mission by NASA. The test was conducted at Virginia based Langley Research Centre’s Landing and Impact Research Facility in Hampton.
It will give more perception about stage that astronauts will come across when they return to our planet after their space mission.
Series of the water tests conducted will help researchers to know what Orion and its crew members will encounter when the spacecraft lands in the Pacific Ocean. These tests are essential to make sure the safety of astronauts onboard the space capsule. Even a slightest error can cause it to explode which may lead instant death of the astonauts.
Orion space vehicle can take humans to very large distance in space.
NASA is planning to send the first woman and next man on the moon in the coming years.
