Extinct species of orchid found

Family of rare orchids have been discovered on the rooftop of an office building in London.

Earlier, the family was found in Cornwall in 1980’s but vanished in the year 2009. According to experts, the small-flowered tongue-orchid was among extinct species in UK.

The office building is Nomura London office. From the past many years, experts have been growing different kind of flowers. It is visited by pollinators such as birds, insects and bees. The seeds probably were germinated by the winds that can travel very long distances.

In Nomura, employees take part in workshops such as honey harvesting, filtering and bottling of honey etc.
