NASA has said “a Golden Asteroid is roaming in our solar system.” It is 125 mile-wide asteroid. Its price could be more than $10,000 quadrillions i.e. small piece of it could be of billions and trilions of dollars.
“Psyche 16” is the name given to this asteroid.
NASA is planning to spend an expedition to “Psyche 16” by 2026 to find out its origins. This is at a distance of 198 million miles from Earth and located somewhere between orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
It is believed to be broken part of a planet. According to scientists, the temprature of a asteroid is yet to be known.
In the category of “M-Type” asteroids Psyche asteroids are considered to be largest one and extremely metal rich.
